Gudetama x Curry House Collaboration

I am SO happy that they decided to extend the Gudetama x Curry House collaboration to the end of February. I went to California this past weekend and visited the Irvine location.

The Gudetama Meal Set costs $29 and it comes with:

  • Keema Curry
  • Gudetama Corn Soup
  • Gudetama Custard Pudding
  • Exclusive Gudetama x Curry House beanie
  • A Drink (soda, iced green tea (sweetened), etc)

*Dine in only, can’t purchase the Beanie separately

Keema Curry

Custard + Pudding

Gudetama Beanie

The Keema Curry is a little sweeter then the normal Curry at Curry House. Keema is a style of curry that is made with minced meat. Curry House’s Iced Green Tea is slightly sweetened and pretty delicious. The corn soup and custard didn’t blow my mind, but they still tasted very good. Overall, if you’re a Gudetama fan – for $29, this isn’t a bad deal.

Always Hungry,

Thanksgiving 2017

I can’t believe it’s already November of 2017. 2017 flew by this year and it’s almost Thanksgiving!!

My family usually eats Honey Baked Ham over Turkey and we always have a side of mash potatoes. We don’t have that many traditions for Thanksgiving, but this year I want to expand our Thanksgiving menu. I’ll update this post at the end of this week with pictures! Hopefully it’s a grand Thanksgiving feast.

What are some Thanksgiving dishes you can’t live without?

Bitch, you went where?

This past weekend I went to Seattle, Washington and went to the famous Biscuit Bitch.

They have the most welcoming staff and they call you bitches as if you were long lost BFF’s and I can’t explain how much I love being called “bitch” by a total friendly stranger. You feel just like family. The space is pretty small and unlike what you would expect. After I ordered, the cashier saw my Pikachu phone case and shouted at me “BITCH, YOUR PHONE CASE *insert heart emoji here*”. Needless to say, the whole atmosphere of Biscuit Bitch was an experience itself.

I’ll be honest, although I loved the atmosphere it did take 45 mins for our food to come out and not much food is worth a 45 min wait – however, I did go on a Labor Day weekend where Seattle was swarmed with people. Don’t get me wrong, the food was good, but  if there’s a long line I would suggest coming back later or order one of their drinks and chat with all the people nearby.

If you’re ever in Seattle and have some time to kill, definitely stop by one of their locations and experience yourself some bitchy southern hospitality.

Always hungry,

Delivery has spoiled me

With how easy it is to get food delivered to your door now, I’ve been obsessed with Postmates, UberEATS, Door Dash, etc.

Simply because I am too lazy to go outside – I usually use Postmates once a week. I’ve even postmated myself Chick-fil-a before even though it’s less then 5 mins from my place.

However, using one of the food deliveries can be great while you’re on vacation. Get food delivered in the comfort of your home instead of trapezing outside.

I also like to use Postmates/UberEATS to see what is around my location. It’s a great way to sift through their menus and see what stands out to you. If you don’t know what to eat and Yelp isn’t cutting it, try using one of the food apps! They have the menu and prices for you. Some food places don’t have prices on their menu, so it’s an easy way to see if that restaurant is worth checking out without setting foot inside.

Always hungry,

What to do in 120 degree weather?

First of all, don’t go outside. If you’re living in Arizona, you know that this week has been especially hot and there’s been an excessive heat warning issued. It’ll reach a record high of 121 today on June 20, 2017.

As native Arizonians, we’re used to the heat, but that doesn’t mean we are venturing outside during this time.

You know what is SUPER satisfying when it’s this hot outside? ICE CREAM!

Here are some great places to cool off:

  • Creamistry – try the Fruity Pebbles flavor
  • The Screamery (in Tucson)
  • Halo Top ice cream – (found in stores) a I recommend the Cookie Dough!
  • Gelato 64 (Chandler, AZ) – delicious creamy birthday cake
  • Snoh – lots of great variety to choose from
  • Fat Daddy’s

What is your favorite ice cream place?

Always hungry,
